It’s All Systems Go for the 2025 Whistleblowers Awards & Summit

Johannesburg, Saturday, 25 October 2025 – Public Interest SA is pleased to announce that preparations are complete for the 2025 Whistleblowers Awards & Summit, taking place on Monday, 27 October 2025, at The Venue, Melrose Arch, Johannesburg.

The annual event – now in its third year – continues to serve as South Africa’s foremost platform for advancing transparency, ethics, and accountability in both public and private sectors.

This year’s Whistleblowers Summit will be keynoted by the Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Hon. Andre Nel, who will lead the day’s deliberations under the theme “Beyond Compliance: Empowering Communities to Speak Up.” The Summit will feature high-level plenary discussions, thought-provoking panels, and insights from whistleblowers, academics, civil-society leaders, and reform-minded officials.

The evening will culminate in the prestigious Whistleblowers Awards Gala, where former Chief Justice Raymond Zondo will deliver the keynote address. The Awards recognise courageous individuals and institutions who have demonstrated exceptional integrity and bravery in exposing wrongdoing and promoting ethical governance.
