A seasoned entrepreneur, social justice activist, and advocate for ethical citizenship, Khaas has been at the forefront of efforts to combat corruption and foster a more equitable society. His leadership in Public Interest SA underscores his commitment to holding public and private institutions accountable, particularly in relation to economic inclusion, digital access & privacy rights, good governance, and e-government initiatives.

Khaas' vision for a better South Africa is anchored in the belief that active citizenship, ethical leadership, and strong institutions are key to achieving sustainable development. Through Public Interest SA, he continues to advocate for reforms that strengthen democratic governance and ensure a more just society for all.
